I think I found my favourite Haguro-san / Dewa Sanzan Omiyage (souvenirs). These cookies feature some of the carvings found on the stone steps up Haguro-san. As Haguro-san is our Dojo, I am very familiar with its slopes, and I think I get extra points because I’m pretty sure I know where at least 18 of the carvings are (which is enough to get a wish granted).

When you come to Haguro-san, don’t forget to look out for these :) It’s a fun way to stay focused on your footing, and was probably designed as such!
