I should show you a pic of a shack on my street, but I don’t think you would be able to make it out. It’s only 10% visible—too swallowed with trees and bushes. If I didn’t know better, I’d vote definitely uninhabited, yet I happen to know it’s got a hermit in there. Recently the city sent a crew of tree trimmers to his house and for free massively hacked back his personal forest. He didn’t seem to care.
I saw one of those in deep Saitama the other week. Definitely akiya but my friend there said no Mrs So and So lives in there. He pointed to the far right corner and indeed that was the only part of the house with a roof section a bit mended against the rain. You have to look closely and critically.
As one of your shots show, maybe there are a few potted plants out front.

Inhabited or not is such a fun game, but still so sad :( there are so many buildings here that look abandoned but aren’t! People still hanging on!

There are too many around here to name. A new project, perhaps?
