Want to be interesting?
Easy.
Do interesting things.
“I don’t feel inspired.”
That’s not the point.
Waiting for inspiration is waiting for something that may never come.
Do you like doing that?
I certainly don’t.
Inspiration comes through experimentation.
Nothing is stopping you going for a walk, reading a book, watching a movie, talking to a friend, jumping in the ocean, or doing anything else that could remotely bring inspiration.
No, the point isn’t to be inspired.
The point is to do cool things. To do something for the sake of it. To get out in the real world and try something that’s never been done before.
Or something that has.
It doesn’t really matter. As long as you’re out there to put your spin on it.
To be an interesting person is to do interesting things. Do interesting things and people become interested in you.
Even if you don’t want to be an interesting person to others, you should still be one for yourself. That’s what keeps life interesting. That’s what keeps you on your toes, and keeps you moving forward.
That’s inspiration.
That’s the point.
The Dance: Hi Ren
Watch this. Preferably with some good headphones.
The dance. The eternal pendulum of light and dark. The lighter the light, the darker the dark.
The looser the dancer, the easier the struggle.
Be loose.

If there’s any advice I would give my younger self regarding work, it’s this.
Don’t forget your obligation to your ideas, learn to accept, and get things done.
Two pieces on second language learning this week; one an easy trick for mastery, and one a missing ingredient for many.
That’s it for this week

Let me know what you enjoyed, and what you didn’t. I’ll try and get more of the good stuff out to you.
